Husanjot Chahal is an AI policy researcher specializing in international security, technology governance, and AI risk. Prior to ORCG, she held research roles at OpenAI and Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET). Her work—ranging from peer-reviewed publications to high-impact reports and policy briefs—has examined the security implications of AI and has been featured in venues such as the European Parliament, U.S. House of Representatives, NATO, and several leading publications like The Diplomat, National Defense, Politico, Fortune, and Analytics India Magazine.
Husan has also contributed to security policy efforts at the World Bank’s Corporate Security division and at prominent New Delhi-based think tanks, where she analyzed strategic issues in South Asia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi, a Master’s degree in International Security and Terrorism from the University of Nottingham, and a Master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
